History and Background

 

History—Pathway is currently in its 32nd year of providing residential treatment services for children and families. Originally incorporated as an authentic “Mom and Pop” (home owned and operated within the state of Alabama). We continue to function as a vested member of our community serving neighborhood children, their families and agencies.

 

Some of our historical accomplishments include:

 

• First non-agency residential campus to be licensed in Alabama (1982)

• Continuously contracted/partnered with the Alabama Department of Human Resources for 32 uninterrupted years, serving over 2800 children

• First Alabama State Department of Education licensed on-campus private school

• Approved Medical Provider (1993)

• First Treatment Facility in the state to be selected to contract with Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Alabama as a preferred provider (1994)

• September 2016 - Pathway expanded to include a new facility in Baldwin County in Southwest Alabama  - PATHWAY OF BALDWIN COUNTY
